Abstract:

Wang zhao-yong’s the Legend of the Painters of Lingnan Painting School is the important reference documents for the study of the art of Ling Nan region. In 1988, Guangdong People’s Press published the proof-read edition by Zhou Xifu. The writer finds the great importance of the publishing of the book and also finds many problems in the proof-reading. There are five kinds of problems: wrong words, redundant words, wrong punctuation, Traditional Chinese characters wrong conversion, failure in correction of some errors of the original book. These problems bing about the troubles to the researchers
and degrade the practal value of the book.
