Abstract:

Li Kaixian was a famous litterateur and opera writer in the Ming Dynasty, who was also a famous book-collector and known to the world for his rich collection. His collection could not escape the fate of falling apart because of his family tragedy and national perish after his death. A part of the collection was gone to Zhu Mujie’s Wanjuantang just after his death, and the rest to Xu Qianxue’s Chuanshilou,Mao Yi’s Jigug, ect. during the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, and were concentrated in the hands of private collectors. But these books didn’t exist eventually, which were not only the loss of the library circles, but also the crack to the Chinese national memory.
