Michael Buckland’s Academic Thoughts on and Contributions to the Field of Library and Information Science

Abstract

Abstract:

Michael Buckland is a famous American library and information scientist. He has a great influence on the library circle. His research field is extensive and has made a great contribution to the development of library and information science. This paper introduces the experience of his life, summarizes his main academic thoughts and analyzes his academic contribution to library and information science.
