Abstract:

Nowadays, many scholars like to quote the saying that“ The Jianshu is the Best in the World ”to prove the high quality of the books published by Sili Jian of the Ming Dynasty. However, after querying a lot of literature, we find that this saying is quoted from the XiuzhongJin written by Taipinglaoren of the Song Dynasty. In fact, the “Jianshu” in this book means the books published by Guozi Jian of the Song Dynasty, not the Sili Jian of the Ming Dynasty. Therefore, we cannot quote this saying to prove the high quality of the books published by Sili Jian of the Ming Dynasty.
