Abstract:

With a growing interest in evaluating the effectiveness of libraries, libraries find it increasingly important to evaluate the acquisitions process in an efficient way.The traditional book-ordering process depends mainly on the library staff's experience. This paper presents a decision-making model for book acquisition using artificial intelligence and based on book-recommending information, reader preference and price. It will be conducive to objective acquisition and restrict subjective interference. The simulation result shows that the model is effective. And this paper proposes also the methods for improvement on decision-making model.
