A Comparative Study on InCites and SciVal Spotlight as Subject Service Tools

Abstract

Abstract:

InCites and SciVal are two kinds of comprehensive scientific research evaluation tools. This article will make a comparative analysis between them from the perspectives of data sources, subject areas, functions, calculation methods and evaluation index. And it makes a further study of their respective advantages and disadvantages as subject service tools through empirical analysis.
