Abstract:

Yu Zhai collections are collections of Sheng Xuanhuai, a noted political figure of the late Qing dynasty. The number of Yu Zhai collections has not been proved due to book scattering, defects in bibliographics, and methodological problems. This paper attempts to trace the collections and study the number of Yu Zhai collections based on other scholars’ research attainments and the documentary material.
