Abstract:

Reading plays an important role in the healing and growth of the human soul. Biographical works, due to their characteristics of authenticity, continuity, emotion, and inspiration, have therapeutic value in stimulating emotional resonance and deepening self reflection. Women’s biographies strengthen the right of women to be written, pay attention to the commonalities of female groups, and provide more targeted insights for female readers. This article aims to explore the therapeutic connotations of Chinese and foreign female biographies, and take four representative works of Chinese and foreign female biographies as examples to analyze their therapeutic value in emotional comfort, spiritual guidance, and cognitive inspiration, in order to attract the attention to and utilization of female biographical reading and therapeutic resources by relevant readers and reading promoters.
