Abstract:

A complete research on reading behaviors should target at both readers and librarians. Using
a self-designed questionnaire, the author conducted a sample survey among 114 librarians in six libraries in
Nanyang City and drew some basic conclusions on their reading behaviors. These conclusions will help us to
re-evaluate reading promotion activities from the perspective of an “insider”, provide a new understanding of
reading activities and their promotion.
