21 天阅读习惯养成:追根溯源及实践思考

21-Day Reading Habit Cultivation: Tracing the Source and Reflections on the Practice

摘要:

本文针对“21 天阅读习惯养成”成为图书馆热门阅读推广活动的现象,对其所依据的“21 天习惯养成”进行了追根溯源。通过文献溯源查证了“21 天习惯养成”的观点来源于马尔茨的《心理控制术》(Psycho-Cybernetics),认为目前网络上流行的“坚持21 天就能养成一个新习惯”与马尔茨的“一个新的心理意象定型至少需要21 天”存在认知偏差。对高校21 天阅读习惯养成活动进行了归类对比分析,并对图书馆阅读推广工作提出思考和建议。

Abstract:

This paper traces back the source of the “21-Day Habit Cultivation” trend, as it has become a popular reading promotion activity in libraries. Through literature retrospective, we found that the idea of “21-day Habit Cultivation” originated from Maltz’s Psycho-Cybernetics. There is a cognitive bias between the popular belief in “persist for 21 days to form a new habit” and Maltz’s “it requires a minimum of about 21 days for a new mental image to jell”. The study also provides a comparative analysis of 21-day reading habit cultivation activities and offers thoughts and suggestions on library’s reading promotion.
