Abstract: In order to adapt to the management of multiple types of resources and the interconnections
between multiple systems, it is urgent for libraries to have a new generation library service platform which
is open and easy to expand. The research status of library service platforms at home and abroad is reviewed.
The case study of Shenzhen University Library is used to analyze its needs and the system architecture in
developing the new generation library service platform based on microservices. The functions, features
and implementation effects of the new generation library service platform are also introduced. The new
generation library service platform based on micro-service architecture is flexible, open and easy to expand.
The library can gradually migrate internal applications to the micro-service architecture.
