Abstract: Zhongjing Xinbu changed its book classification from the six division method of Qilüe into four division method for it’s a preservation catalog compiled by librarians. Zhongjing Xinbu’s four divisions aren’t used as a classification but number of stacks,it was actually divided into fourteen categories. Through comparing Zhongjing Xinbu with other books and Historical background analysis,we found that Zhongjing Xinbu was definitely not a simple transcript of titles of books and volumes,its author was very likely to have transcribed essentials from books it included and compiled a catalog that has character of cyclopedia.
