Abstract: The Transcript of Medical Prescriptions collected in Shanghai Library consists of over seven hundred prescriptions, nearly forty of which are not recorded in the Comprehensive Dictionary of TCM Prescriptions. Besides, there also contains many prescriptions whose compositions are different from those by the same prestigious physician. The transcript is of Woyunshanfang edition with three pieces of labeling remarks by Huang Chang. According to these remarks, this paper investigated the experiences of Fan Dache and Huang Chang, the details of how Huang Chang bought and revised the book, and the correlation between this transcript and the romantic novels in the late Ming dynasty.
