Abstract:

Some of our major booksellers on Chinese Books Catalog subscriptions were analyzed and books from some important publishing houses were found missing on the list. Publishers were found not fully included in the directory itself, neither were all the books of the publishing houses included. Those books not included on the subscription list do not appear on the publishers’ own subscription catalog, either.Also, there is a huge difference between publishers’ subscription lists and the national bibliography. The author analyzed the sampling of books not included in the subscription catalogues and found that many are quite valuable and worth collecting in libraries.
