纸本图书PDA：国外图书馆的实践及其启示

PDA（读者决策采购，Patron-driven Acquisition）是一种全新的资源建设模式。目前，国外图书馆纸本图书的PDA有两种类型：一种是把馆际互借请求转化为纸本图书的订单，另一种是读者在OPAC中发现MARC数据并发起购买。国外图书馆纸本图书PDA实践具有以下几个基本特点：图书馆员较少干预；馆藏标准清晰而严格；对书商要求较高；PDA现在只是试验项目。国内纸本图书引入PDA模式，应注意以下几点：读者荐购不是PDA；根据情况进行小规模的PDA试验；设计高效的PDA工作流程；注重对PDA效果的评估。

Abstract:

PDA (Patron-driven Acquisition) is a new mode for collection development. There are two types of PDA in foreign libraries: one is transforming the interlibrary loan requests into book orders, and the other is loading MARC records forpurchase. Print books PDA, currently as a trial project in foreign libraries, has several features: little intervention from librarians, clear and strict criteria for collection development, and strict requirements for vendors. There are several key points for domestic libraries to implement print books PDA. First, reader recommendation is not PDA. Second, PDA of small scale should be conducted first according to the library’s own conditions. Third, it is important to design an efficient PDA workflow. And lastly, the assessment of PDA should be valued.
