Abstract:

Resource-centric model of traditional library services is being severely affected by the readercentric Internet model, making the library service model innovation imminent. This paper analyzes the current situation of the library system environment, discovers that the integration of heterogeneous systems can break up the resource-based library model and solve the single service model or the poor experience. It proposes a new library service model centering on readers demand and the internet as a tool. Using the self de-registration (upon graduation) system of East China Normal University library for example, it illustrates the implementation methods, processes and results.
