Abstract:

With the increase of the database subscription of library, it has been a basic duty for the librarian responsible for the database subscription to understand the status quo of database subscription,analyze the subscription agreement and prevent the legal risk in the subscription agreement. However, after investigating the existing subscription agreements of libraries, we found some defects in the agreements.To reduce the risks, the librarians should make more specific provisions on the formation and enforcement of clauses, the remedies clauses for breach of contract and the subject matter clauses and dispute settlement clauses to reduce the legal risks.
