Construction and Service Mode of Comprehensive Local Literature Database: With the Construction of Zhanjiang Local Literature Database as an Example

Abstract

Abstract: The biggest obstacle in digitalization of local documents by our public libraries is the lack of large-scale digital resources and services. This paper introduces the basic practices and experience of library of Zhanjiang, which adhered to the digital resources construction as focus, integrated books, journals, papers, dissertations, conference papers, local chronicles, yearbooks, pictures, patents and other literature into a local literature database, automated local document management and actively participated in the local literature sharing.
