Abstract:

With the development of information technology environment and user requirements, library should enrich application functionality and user experience based on the existing integrated library management system. Resource discovery system is an important means to enhance library service quality.
This paper analyses the major resource discovery systems and their status of application, identifies the present problems of resource discovery systems, and proposes a framework for selection and evaluation. Finally, it introduces the practices of the Shanghai Library in resources discovery as an example.
