Abstract: Zhang Xiaoxiang, a famous poet in the Southern Song Dynasty, together with Zhang Yuanqian are known as the double jaspers in the poetry community at the beginning of the same dynasty. Zhang Xiaoxiang’s Yu Hu Ci has numerous versions with complicated inter-relationship. The academic community has not really figured out the source of these versions. This article has extensively studied 25 versions of Yu Hu Ci both at home and abroad and discovered the pros and cons and other characteristics of these versions, which means an innovation in this area. Yu Hu Ci can be divided into four systems of versions: Qiandao system in the Song Dynasty, Jiatai system in the Song Dynasty, system of Selection of wonderful poetries in the Southern Song Dynasty (Jue Miao Ci Xuan), Zhang Shixing system in the Ming Dynasty. The paper also finds that there are obvious differences between the version of Wenyuange, Wenjinge and Wenlange in the Si Ku Quan Shu, belonged to Jia Tai system in the Song Dynasty and the version of Wenjinge is the most refined. The contemporary version of Yu Hu Ci, such as the version of All Poetries of Song Dynasty, still needs further improvement.
