Abstract:

Supplying general, equal, convenient and humanized service to achieve equalization, socialization, informatization and standardization of public library service is the key task for the libraries nowadays. Committed to this task and based on the latest library developments, Wenzhou library creates a new library service model named “City Study”, with characteristics of low costs, easily to be cloned, effectiveness and innovation, which reduces people’s reading difficulties. This paper introduces the background, content and characteristics of “City Study” model, and proposes construction principles, aiming to set up a new characteristic library service model for all the public libraries.
