An Empirical Analysis of the Relativity between Gartner’s Reports and Scientific Research

摘要：

本文收集了2003-2013年间的Gartner公司的IT领域技术成熟度曲线及2006-2013年的优先矩阵和SCIE数据库中收录的1999年以来相关技术的研究论文，分析各技术的研究论文量、作者人次与Gartner新兴技术成熟度曲线（Gartner报告）中的19项高频技术成熟度及收益预期之间的相关性，以了解Gartner报告对科学研究活动的影响情况。结果发现：Gartner报告与云计算技术的科研活动的相关性高于网状网络、3D打印、平板电脑、Web2.0等技术。

Abstract:

This paper collected the hype cycle during 2003 to 2013 and the priority matrix during 2006 to 2013 of IT field technologies of Gartner, collected the research papers in SCIE database since 1999, and analyzed the correlation between the number of research paper or the author and the maturity and the priority of 19 technologies which were involved in Gartner technology hype cycle report many more times. The results show that there is more relativity on the Gartner’s reports and scientific research of cloud computing technology than Gartner’s reports and scientific research of other information technologies.
