摘要： 图书馆搜集、保存保护和传播弘扬地方文献，为地方和社区提供各种便利的知识食粮和文化服务，是一座城市公共图书馆的中心任务。基于这一使命，图书馆对于在文化程度、人生志趣和知识需求多元化的广大读者来说，也就成为了所在城市的“精神客厅”和“心灵牧场”。本文作者从多个角度，阐述了自己心目中“理想图书馆”的内涵。

Abstract: The main task of public library is collecting, preserving and promoting local literature. It provides cultural service and knowledge. Based on this task, library becomes cultural center and spiritual ranch for the users. This paper reveals ideal library in the author’s mind.
