Abstract:

Through on-site observation, semi-structured interviews, questionnaires and other methods, the user portraits of different groups were extracted from the three dimensions of goal, behavior andattitude. The cluster analysis of different groups in the new public reading space was carried out byK-means clustering algorithm to compare the service preferences of different groups in the new publicreading space. The commonality and difference of different groups’ preferences for new public readingspace services can be divided into four types as a whole, namely, those who are early adopters of travelpunch card, those who enjoy leisure and recreation, those who love reading and learning, and those whoexperience parent-child activities. Personalized and precise services should be provided for differentgroups to improve the sense of access to public cultural services for different users.
