Abstract: The purpose of the study is to investigate and analyze health information service projects for minors in US public libraries, with the aim of understanding the current state of service and providing references for Chinese public libraries to carry out related services. The study employs a network survey and case analysis to analyze the project types and service characteristics of thirteen public libraries that have developed successful juvenile health information service projects. The result reveals that health information service projects for minors in American public libraries are categorized into experiential projects based on social and emotional skills training, intervention projects based on physical fitness improvement, and learning projects based on balanced health information literacy. Establishing a social participation network based on resource linkage is crucial and requires in-depth community involvement. Additionally, it is important to explore demand, expand service projects, and provide ubiquitous extended services. The study also suggests segmenting groups and designing differentiated grading projects for minors. The findings of the study provide valuable insights and recommendations for Chinese public libraries.
