Abstract: The Public Libraries Service Specifications (Revised Edition)was released in March and will be officially implemented on July 1, 2023. This revision puts forward new normative requirements for the content and technical level of public library services at present and in the future, which provides a policy basis for further effectively guiding public libraries at all levels to carry out services in the new period, and also effective guidance for other types of institutions providing library services to standardize their services. The main content of The Public Libraries Service Specifications (Revised Edition) was discussed in the paper, whereas principles of conformity, foresight and operability as observed by during this revision were analyzed.
