Abstract:

The Pan Family in Suzhou has generated a great number of talents over hundred years during the Qing Dynasty.
Their poems, articles and artifacts have become important historical materials reflecting the politics, history, literature,
arts and social history of southern China and even China as a whole in the mid and late Qing Dynasty. The huge number of
manuscripts and handwritten copies of the Pan family as collected by the Suzhou Museum constitute the invaluable treasure
of local literature and Qing study. The paper, by selectively introducing the most representative few, contributes to the whole
picture.
