Abstract: City study rooms are a public reading service in cities based on 24-hour self-service physical library. It has been popularized in many cities in China, especially in Wenzhou. Based on the investigation and interview of Wenzhou Library, this paper elaborates on the background of Wenzhou Library’s creation of city study room, the initiation process of originality, and its management and promotion. It provides a panorama of how Wenzhou Library builds city study room into a phenomenal innovative service mode of library.
