Abstract: Epitaph of Feng Jingzhi unearthed in Changan County of Xi’an city in 1993. Then It was stored in Shaanxi History Museum. The epitaph rubbings are rarely seen in the market. Because Feng Jingzhi’s name is not recorded in the literature, so the epitaph did not cause academic attention for a long time. I research the epitaph rubbings carefully, then I found that “Feng Jingzhi” was recorded in The History of Northern Dynasties and The History of BeiZhou Dynasties as Feng Jing. The Epitaph records was consistent with historical records, but it was more detailed on the life of Feng Jingzhi in Epitaph, it can add to the lack of historical records. The Epitaph content involved in many important historical events,such as Northern and Southern Xiaoliang campaign, The Northern Wei Dynasty refugees uprising, The regime of the Northern Wei Dynasty division, The between East and West. This article studies the issues related to the above events on the basis of historical records and the epitaph of Feng Jingzhi.
