Abstract: This paper discusses the three challenges facing public library’s decision-making consultation, including the challenges of establishing a new type of think tanks with Chinese characteristics, the challenges of new ideas in the new era, and the challenge of the new stage of information development marked by large data. The article holds that the decision consulting work of the public library should form a new development orientation and have five functions, so as to form a new realm of the decision-making and consulting work of the public library
