Abstract:

The lecture series of the Shanghai Library was initiated in 1978 and has been dedicated to serving the public and creating the city’s public culture service brand. This paper combs the practices of the library serving the grassroot public with the series during the past 39 years and puts forward advice for
more effective role of the library in the era of new media.
